Excellent photos! What a nice collection of birds you have. We planted cherry, apricot and pear trees this spring, but I know we are in for bear problems, eventually.

Woody... my feeders are now overtaken by Grackles...pretty birds by very dominating. Any advise on how to deter them?

Yeah, I stopped planting apple trees on log landings because as soon as the trees had their first apple the bears demolished them.

We use various types of tube feeders and have never had an issue with grackles -- but we don't have too many of them around here. Any kind of platform or hopper feeder would be easy for grackles to dominate.
