The cat posed like a professional model. Beautiful!
Did you get other shots while the cat was there? Or did the flash scare it away?

Cameratrapcodger and Bones, I did get other shots while the cat was there for this first visit - 18 images total. Fifteen images in the first volley (3 images per trigger = 5 triggered bursts) and 8 minutes later, 3 more images (1 additional trigger sequence). The flash/noise of the camera shutter seemed to capture the bobcat's attention, but did not seem to overtly deter the cat. Two days later, another bobcat (likely the same cat) made another visit. Unfortunately, I am having an issue with my focus and the camera had automatically shifted out of focus - even though I thought I had it set entirely manually. {I took very detailed notes of my camera settings and hope to post this "focus" issue to camtrapper when I have time and learn if anyone can help solve the "focus" irregularity.}

Seems other folks (stinky and Woody) are experiencing similar luck with semi-tolerant camtrapped bobcats.

Wow, that's a spectacular photo -- well done!. Looks like you may have misjudged that camera.

I was wondering about this also, do Bobcats normally not come back to a site once they have had their pics taken, especially at night where the flash might spook them?

I've had spots where the camera has gotten four or five pictures of the same bobcat one right after another and then gotten several more a day or two later. Some are posted here on my blog -- https://forestandfield.blogspot.com/201 ... ge-ii.html

-Definitely found out that it wasn't the GH4's fault regarding less than sharp images. Turns out it's the operator. Lesson learned and "tail between my legs" since I mentioned "underwhelming GH4 still images" on this site more than once. Hopefully, this will resonate with folks out there now that the GH4's price has come down since the GH5 was released - GH4 is a good little camera!
-Great cat shots Woody and seems that we are experiencing similar results with bobcats showing degrees of measurable tolerance to flash and camera shutter sound.
