Finally got around to finishing up my first DSLR build. Many thanks to those who helped along the way, and to this site and those who were generous enough to share information. Set it out in the backyard this week, and captured this image last night. Unfortunately one of my flashes did not fire as the fox walked past my sensor, will have to look into the cause for this. Hopefully just a battery issue. Looking forward to getting this out in the Montana wilderness!

D7000, Sigma 10-20mm Lens @ 12mm, PIR sensor thanks to Jeff at TrlCam.com, 1/200 Sec. @ f/10, ISO 320, 2 SB-28s (only 1 fired) @ 24mm, f/8, ISO 200, 1/4 Power.

Love the scene setting and pose. A lot of really nice detail in the snow which is cool too

Looks like that fox stalked in - typical fox fashion, back and forth a couple of times before moving in on the strange object....... Those beady black eyes say it all.

Sounds like a fine system you have there and a great lens too. I think that was a sort of a blessing only having one flash go off. It really draws your attention to the coal black eyes, they pop out at you. You may have lost some of that deep dark blackness with another flash. Personally, I really like that picture.
