We haven't had much precip since the monsoon season, which ended after about three weeks. Springs and catchment basins are drying up. To keep local Black Bears from getting into trouble down by the river, I talked some friends into hauling water on their backs along with help from a horse about a mile up a trail. We hauled over 60 gallons in just over an hour. Not bad.
