Over the last couple years I have had the privilege of working with photographer Michael Forsberg on a documentary for Nebraska Educational Television. The documentary will explore the Platte River Basin in Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming. Currently we have 22 camera traps and about 40 timelapse cameras out in the river basin. Some of the photos are amazing. The above photo was taken in central Nebraska on a beaver dam.

This is the setup. A Nikon D7100 in a weatherproof housing, three Nikon SB28 flashes, and a TRLcam remote motion detector.

A few different cameras Arthur. Panasonic GH4, Sony a6000, Sony NEX3n, GoPro, or a Reconyx XR6.

A day on the river usually ends up like this.

A early winter sunset over the Platte River.

I have been in the field the last few days. It's Sandhills Crane migration season here in the Platte Basin. The birds in large numbers are starting to move back north.
