Hello Mark, and a warm welcome from Australia. That first image has me scratching my head. Yes I do see the odd image of the deer in the background but can't work it out, l need help lol.
That other buck is a cracker, obviously a white flash. I was unaware that any manufacturing companies still made a white flash cam.

Good morning! There are actually a number in the US now that are making white flash again.....albeit with limited results. That buck in white flash is from a Covert Illuminator which has a small array of white LED's. It is not overly bright so many of the images are not crisp but it's better than nothing! The company called Boly/ScoutGuard also makes some white flash cams which have an incandescent bulb that is very bright.
The odd deer picture is a deer jumping at full speed that the camera's sensor sighted and caught at an absolutely perfect moment. I was amazed when I saw the height of the deer above the ground and how elongated the deer was!
You can tell why I want to get in to making my own with a point and shoot or an SLR!

I've attached a few white night photos from the 2 different cams. As an outdoorsman, it's great to see night color but as a photographer, you can see the limitations of the over the counter manufactured cam traps (we call them trail cams).
