I would like to see some discovery on cams that are under $80.

I think we'll wait for testing to finish up with the WX1...then we can open up some threads/discussion and camera suggestions for the next cam. Thats not stopping anyone from doing some research now and finding a camera you like for when we're ready!

It might be a good idea to bring up the nomination thread again so guys can start posting up suggested cams. It certainly wouldn't hurt?

Yeah good idea for sure...I've been thinking of starting a new one to keep things fresh...callimg it 2011 still cam proposals and 2011 video cam proposals...then start a new one of each for each year. Members that suggested cams last year can carry them forward again for the current year. I think it will keep things a bit more organized.

Just some thoughts...open to any other suggestions.

You guys are much more camera savy than myself. I may be missing something....i dont know. From my experience with the w290, h55 and now what i have seen from the WX1, i think for the time being we should look away from new and newer sony cameras. Blurry night pics (however severe) are unacceptable. I dont know what sony is doing to cause this problem, but it seems to be a constant. Im going to haveta switch brands! Makes me feel like a traitor....lol!

After the sale of the WX1 research camera...ad minus paypal fee we are at $675 for the donation fund!

Pretty healthy fund for camera research...and now that everything is wrapped up with the WX1 we can now start thinking of some new and/or old cams to test for home brew trail cam use!

Our third research cam...the Panasonic FP1 has been purchased for $76.00...Research fund has been updated to $599.
