Alright shutterbugs and camtrappers...Heres where you can get a chance to suggest still cameras to test. Reply to this thread with:

Camera Manufacturer
Model number
and why you think it might be a good candidate

There will be a separate thread for video units, and I'll get the spec spreadsheet going soon, and once a few suggestions come in.

...just realized...this might be the first time I quoted myself :Noonehome

looks like buckshot164 has the WX10 hacked already, but sounds like a interesting camera.

I suggested the WX10 because of the great quality of the digital stills but also the high quality HD video. The uniquness of his camera is that the Movie mode is triggered independent of the Shutter button. So, the hack has to include a 4th wire and I believe two seperate servo connectors from the control board. One for digital and one for Movie. Hoping we do this as it is such a high quality camera.

Kind of the best of both worlds. White flash at night and video during the day. Would be awesome on the predator sets

Hello Egbert,

I agree. That would be the holy grail for me. I prefer white flash night photos to anything else and daytime video trumps photos in terms of learning about wildlife.

Can the SSS board be programmed for something like this? I know the SSII doesn't have a day/night option that works well...

I'm going to guess no it cant since from the sounds of it above, you would need a 3 channel opto. The SSS has a 2 channel (power and shutter) so we would need another one for movie. I know the AIO should be able to handle it since it has the extra mosfet. But I'm just guessing here by going off whats been mentioned already..
