Well...Here it is guys. All the Thanks go to Rick Gray for his hard work in designing this board and building the code to make it run. It is kinda different than the other boards. It has the .47 ohm resistor that goes between the control board and the slave board + power built right into the board itself. I took Rick's original design and tweaked it a little bit to add this feature. I eliminated the POT and installed a 20k ohm 1% resistor so it sees dusk and dawn very accurately. The boards are ordered and should arrive in 9 days or so. I will get a few soldered up and tested and I will be offering them on my website FOR SALE. It works with the 1 flash and 2 flash cameras. Hopefully someday we will have a 3 flash code as well for the Panasonic Guys. The original boards work very very well. And all this board is is the original board with the added .47 resistor and pot eliminated.

Looks good Jim, 3 flash would be nice as well because the pentax cams are also 3 flash. Sounds like you are offering the boards with assembly needed, are you going to sell them with the parts too?

Jim sent me one of his SlavePro1 boards for testing. Nice, neat little board!
I have my slave hacked and ready to install in the case with a SS2 and p41/IR.
Here are a few pics of the slave set-up.

I would like to get a few weeks of testing in before I offer them to everyone. I have 5 guys testing them so we should have the greenlight shortly. This thing is super fast. Will cycle the slave every 4 seconds. Has not missed a flash in 2 weeks on the one in my backyard . It runs at 4 ghz so it clocks slot faster and has a faster response time. At first I could not get it to cycle faster than 12 seconds so I was gonna wash the project. Than one afternoon I put a larger cap on the front end of the microchip and now it works AWESOME!!!

Had this out back for a couple days. Only got the dog doing his business.
I went out tonight and took a few shots with the SS2 on trail mode. I swear that the slave
is ready before the cam writes to the card. This is a fast slave board :!: took some without the slave
and some with it.

Thanks to Rodney (modeclan) for the camo on the case.

Thanks to FiremanJim for letting me test this SlavePro1 board.

I will be putting it on the creek this weekend for a week to check battery life.

Unless you are on super fresh (high voltage) batteries 4 seconds will only have a partial charge in the slave capacitor. Yes it will fire, but you will not get anywhere near the normal full light output. And the older your batteries get the less charge you will have in that same 4 seconds.

This is true but remember most cameras take 9 to 12 seconds between night pics, the fact that the slave control board is ready earlier just means you have a very good chance the slave will fire with the camera.
