So, now that I have a Kit on the way I was thinking. If you guys have written a program or have a program to run the various cameras. You can post it in the subforum and then I will make it a sticky like I just did with Buckshot's. That way it will be easy to reference when you need it. Please just put the make and model of camera in the subject line (and/or what the program does if necessary.)

:thanks

I have about 40 programs. I will see what I can find. I think this is a good idea.

Heres a simple code and simple circuit for you willy to start with. It will light one led if light and the other one if its dark. You will need two leds, 2 330 ohm resistors, a cds, 10k resistors, 33k resistor, and a 100k resistor. You should get yourself a little breadboard to play on too so you wont have to solder anything up just to play. Once you get this working, you can go in and change what the led will do when dark or light like flash 3 times, etc... That will get you familiar with how the code writing works a little bit.

Code:
start_up:

high 0
pause 2000
low 0
pause 1000
high 1
pause 2000
low 1
pause 1000
goto main

main:

readadc 4,b1
if b1 < 175 then light1
goto light2
sleep 26
goto main

light1:
high 0                         ‘ switch on LED 1
pause 10000                    ' led is on for 10 seconds
low 0                          ' turn off led
sleep 26
goto main

light2:
high 1                         ‘ switch on LED 2
pause 10000                    ' led is on for 10 seconds
low 1                          ' turn off led
sleep 26
goto main

One thing to remember, the sleep command is 2.3 times the value given. So

sleep 10

gives a 23 second delay.

about $25-30 for the programmer kit so you can experiment with stuff. You can certainly set up the delays and such to run slower cams.
