Nice - you beat me to it(my future fs5 is down near Green Bay WI)...a little different from the FX35 looks like

Easy hack just tiny solder points. This cam is a work in progress. I got it hacked but haven't gotten much further. It will need a slave I know that much.

buck66 says that on the fs7s he does, he just does one contact on the pwr and uses a common from exts to save on room inside the camera for routing the wires out(through the speaker). Run the exts right along the top edge of the lcd. Supposedly works just fine.

Cool! Nice work!

Yeah the 4 wire (shared common) is a great way to hack these panasonics. I use 30ga for all contacts inside the cam, and it works out great for routing wires...and I always go out the speaker holes and don't even have to drill a hole.

The power switch to this FS5 is different than most of the other Pan cams I've hacked. Another one to throw in the mix! Thanks for posting!

As seen by Matts edit this is the Ls5.....I just did the Fs5 and it is the same as the Fs6
