I'm in the market for more rechargeable AAs (and AAAs actually). Amazon customers rank the AmazonBasics NiMH rechargeables very highly so I did a little more snooping. This site also give them a very high rating (and goes so far as to say not to buy Eneloops): http://www.lightandmatter.org/2014/tech-photography-articles/best-rechargeable-aa-nimh-batteries-for-your-flash-dont-buy-eneloops/. This site seems to suggest the AmazonBasics batteries are just re-branded Eneloops.

Anyone tries these?

I took the gamble and bought a whack of the black label with the green leaves on the battery. They were the best value on NiMH Japenese cells I could find anywhere and especially given the ma rating.

Hey Mr Canuck .... What was the price in Canadian funds? You have a ball park. Per pack of 4 or per each?

You can get an 8 pack of the 2500 mAh on Amazon.ca for CAD$24.99. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on some, might even grab 16 so I can have some for an underwater strobe...

I bought them in 2014 and paid 22.99 Ca with free shipping. That was for 8 of them.

Does anyone know how well these fair in cold weather ? Here in Saskatchewan it is a big determining factor to account for. And it is always cold here, not including winter of 2015/2016. Lol

I like the high capacity Amazon rechargeables; however, they seem to be a little larger than other batteries, which make it hard to get them out of some brands of battery holders.

I'm a big fan of the Powerex Imedions... great in cold temps (for my area -5F), low discharge rate, and very high capacity. Very similar to Eneloop Pro's. Advertised capacity is 2400mah, but all of mine are more like 2500-2580. They're usually about $25 for 8, but Amazon has a great deal on them right now for $17.95/8 pack:
