I've spent a lot of time and money trying to get a white light array that would provide enough light for night videos. First I tried soldering individual leds into banks then hook it all up to a stable driver, if one led popped it took out the whole bank. Not enough light anyway.
Last year I saw a video build with an auto type reversing led light. Now that's worth a try thought, so l got two Chinese 18w lights and put one at the top of a 1060 case and the other at the bottom..no need for separate driver as they are already built in. It was simple.
The arrays and sound amp are powered by a 12v sla battery.
Camera is a DXG125 and a Bigfoot control board. I'll put a couple of test videos in the pic and video section.

Well done, Jonny. You put a lot of work into that rig, and we look forward to seeing the results.

Daytime videos are good, I don't use exchangers or filters so the lens is stock standard .

I have/are looking for a new type of video camera to use as the old dxg 125s are just about impossible to source here in Australia now.
Trying to find something with a fixed lens, full high definition and not too expensive. Lol
