Tell me, (as I am fairly new to this) why the extra flash I thought the S600 had an excellent built in flash?

Yes they do have a great built in flash, and I'm still using the cameras flash, it's just removed and separated to another housing. One of the big reasons guys want the flash away from the camera, is to get away from "eye glare" from the animals. For some reason, when the flash is mounted to the camera, that's when you get bad eye glare, and takes away from the picture. I believe someone here said, the flash needs to be at least 18" away from the camera, to get away from eye glare.

Well I now see the reason for a seperate mounted slave flash. I guess that is now another build in the pipeline.

Here is an example of it...
First, a pic of twin fawns, with the flash removed from camera, and mounted a couple feet above.
The coyote and buck pics, have the built in flash in the camera, and notice the eye glow/glare...
