Found this post last season but never set a cam on it. Seems like it's one that gets used yearly so I got a cam and baby slave on it today. Might be perfect timing!

Baby slave was built by JDH and I put a ram 1" ball mount on it. Sure makes getting the right angle pretty easy!

Good luck Jeremi,
OK, so the baby slave I'm guessing is fired by the flash from the cam below it, is that right?

Yeah. It's a remote slave so you can set it away from your cam or another angle. The sensor detects the camera pre flash and fires the same time as the main flash.

Everyone is in suspense, how do you get it to trigger with the slave flash way up...??

It is a bit further away from the cam flash than I'd like but I'm hoping there will be enough flash bounce off the post or animal to fire the slave. It might work, it might not... We'll see!

Looking forward to seeing some images from this set. Camo on the camera case is a perfect match to the aspen trunk!
