Here is a new bear video. I've been sorting, trimming, and filing video clips in folders since spring, and now have enough footage to edit a few movies. These clips were taken in early June when the local bears track each other, play, and hook up. I had 4 Brownings and 1 GoPro Hero2 staked at the pool, the trail leading to it, and an old cedar log across the trail.

The sow is a real flirt. Keep your eyes peeled as she removes, chews, and drops the HPWA Fresnel lens on my GoPro build.

That's really good Chris, I really like that cinnamon phase look. So was that a lock or a rock that the Bear had in it's mouth after messing with your cam?

Thanks, Gary. That was the HPWA Fresnel lens! She tore it off the front of the camera. You can see that she first tackled the convex glass camera lens cover, and then went to the HPWA above it. When she turns sideways and chews -- it's the HPWA she's munching-- I found it on the ground with a hole punched in it.

Great video -- certainly enough evidence to convict that vandal. It looks like the female is courting the male as much as he's courting her.

You are spot on the mark about that she-bear, Woody. I've seen this before -- a sow shamelessly following a disinterested male, behaving like a "cougar" (the 2-legged variety, that is).

Awesome stuff Chris. I could tell it was the GoPro the bear was going over to ruff up. I just love those GoPro’s for video cams. I really enjoyed the footage you got. Great location.
