This little valley has been very productive for me since last fall. Just hiking up it I feel the stress just fall away. Love it up there.

Thanks for the comments. The elk calves start dropping in early June, really any day now. Some of those cows were most likely pregnant. They have so much green grass this year. Just west of me we had 36.5 inches of heavy, wet snow in 30 hours, just a week ago. It's raining every afternoon. What a boon for deer, elk and antelope and more meat on the bones for mountain lions.

I prefer video because I learn so much more than I do with still images.

This morning I captured my first handheld photo of a bobcat. It crossed the dirt road in front of me. I slowly stopped, got out of the vehicle and saw it moving through the timber about 130 yards away. I took this quick photo, low to the ground to avoid branches. Lucky.

Nice shot on the bobcat. Focus is spot-on.

I enjoyed watching your latest series of vids. I'm with you on the educational aspect of videos. They are a terrific learning tool and highly entertaining too! :-).

Really nice video posts. Get to see interesting aspects of behavior with video sequences. And congrats on the bobcat pic. I like the black ear tufts, had never noticed that on a bobcat before?

Yes, most of the bobcats I've photographed or videotaped have black ear tufts. This bobcat has been seen by some friends who live in the area. They tell me the bobcat has black feet. That's unique.

Thanks for the feedback. I have over 20 cameras out right now, mostly for mountain lions.

Absolutely awesome video footage! Only thing I would change is to make your videos viewable on my phone...I have to go to computer to see them. Keep up the great work!

LetThemGrow, I limit where my videos can be viewed. Try downloading the vimeo app and see if that works.
