These two sets were spaced about 12 ft. apart. The upper set was at the forest's edge above the creek bank. The other was placed below it at the log crossing. I took a gamble and now have both cams at about knee level aimed at this log crossing. At one of the sets, I'm gunning for a pic of a cat leaping or climbing up to the log crossing. Here's the gamble I'm taking...........2 cams at knee height at the last water source with proven Bear activity. Oh yeah, throw in two curious cubs :luck

Awesome pictures, what a fantastic group of animals. Bear, marten, cougar...hard to beat that! That one bear looks like a bigfoot lol (pic 7)I'm curious to know why you picked that particular log, are there lots of logs to chose from in that area or signs of wear?

Those are winners -- you captured great behavior that time and a nice mix of species. The napping bear takes the cake. Yes, it looks like Bigfoot or a Mountain gorilla from that angle. That's a beautiful forest.

Wow, those photos of the bear laying on the log are really spectacular. I love the lion crossing the log as well.

Thanks fellas, yes Chris, for sure it is. Albeit logged many years ago, it's being slowly reclaimed back by Mother nature.

Here is a better picture of that area showing the two fallen trees. The mossy log closest to the Elk is the active log crossing. The absence of moss on that log today is due to the increased Bear rubbing :angel I don't mind that because it makes it easier to cross during the wet seasons.

Awesome set! I bet you'll get even more great photos from that spot. I really liked the bears lounging around on that log crossing.

Blessings..........Pastorjim

Just fantastic shots. I'm sure I've said it a dozen times - but will say it again: I never get tired of seeing your big cat pics! that log crossing shot is a winner.
