Thanks guys, now the stories behind the sets..............

The meadow sets with the open skyline are set up for sunset pics or nighttime pics with flash. Some can be striking when all things considered cooperate. All of the Elk sets are in hopes of either getting pics of the white Elk or bull Elk. This bull came through on the 7th. but hung close to the scrub brush at the meadow's edge. Which happens to be where I typically set up my cams. He was supposed to be 15 ft. further out, full body shot, sideways to the camera with head down facing the camera and at sunset :)

The white Elk first appeared months ago, alone and then found acceptance and comfort with another cow with its calf. The other Elk accept it but in all circumstances, regardless of who she tags along with. She is most often following up in the rear of the group. Without a doubt, the most vulnerable and yet one of the most important positions of the group. If being white coloured in a sea of green wasn't enough of a detriment huh. Here is a pic of her following a herd consisting of 14 cows, calves and a few spike bulls.

The Marten at the carcass set has been pulled and is now doing duty with 11 other cams up at my Northern Elk sets. I have maybe 3 weeks or so before the wet season arrives and then I'll have to pull all of my cams from there. I won't be able to reach them due to rising water levels. I'll set 3 - 4 cams higher up in the rainforest and out of the meadow (floodplains) for the Winter. They will be there mainly for the larger predators and passing Elk. Plus it gives me a darn good reason to drive out there :)

Those are great Gary ... like the meadow backdrop. You know where they like to hang out. Nice bulls as well.

Awesome pictures, love the marten and some beautiful bull elk! Must be a lot of water coming if that all fills up.
