This is the same bull I could have easily harvested with my recurve at 15 yards last year. But it was 12 minutes after legal shooting light and that wasn't a memory I wanted to have. This year I saw the bull laying in the timber, 10 yards in front of me, in mid-August. I froze, he slowly got up and walked off. He never winded me. I didn't see him during the bowhunting season this year. Yesterday I called in one bull but didn't have any shot opportunity.

The second clip is of a smaller bull with two slip-n-slide movements.

That first bull is a real stud. I loved the behavior you captured in the second video.

Blessings.........Pastorjim

Awesome videos David! How often do your cameras get "messed" with by the elk? On the east the moose can be a real problem with cameras in the fall...especially If you leave them on a small tree in an opening.

Great videos; that young one will smell really good to the lady elk, but the big boys will probably run him off.

Mcam, the elk mess with the cameras about 30% of the time. I do my best to pull as hard as I can on the cable lock and snug them up. I also do my best to throw logs and other stuff in front of the camera, making it more difficult to approach the tree. Sometimes that just ticks them off even more. LOL I never attach my cameras to small trees, and never in an open, naked to the aggression by elk and bears. I've had over 10 cameras completely destroyed. That gets expensive.
