Here's the movie I promised months ago. It shows the bears that scavenged the puma kill (a black-tailed buck).

The blogpost gives a little background on my problems getting my act together when I suddenly found the puma kill last year, and the movie can be viewed directly on Vimeo here.

That was super. How are you getting the lights to trigger and turn on? Do you have this posted somewhere else on the forum. Great footage .. really enjoyed it. The narrative was great again.

Excellent footage! Did you capture any other raptors that you didn't include in the video?

Blessings..........Pastorjim

Very good video(s), that carcass disappeared quickly. Quite a contrast compared to the bear carcass I had a camera on at about the same time last year (https://forestandfield.blogspot.com/201 ... ludes.html). For some reason Murphy's Law seems to always rule.

The Safari controller turns them on using a mosfet backpacker -- out of RC Davis's shop.

No other raptors made a showing -- at least none recorded by the camera.

Woody -- How true about Murphy's Law -- it seems to have adopted me as its poster boy.

I'll be doing another video on bears and garbage cans, and hopefully soon. I'll put out the garbage this afternoon along with 4 cameras, 2 with white lights.

That was terrific coverage of scavengers but in particular the Bears. The power displayed in the tugging of the carcass and size of that large boar was incredible.
