The first pic is of the Male coming into view of my cam. He had just made a scratch pile 6 ft. behind him along the trail. The collage is that same Male and another cat I got here a few weeks before about 50 ft. from this spot.

Nice capture. A little ghosting on the last image. What was your shutter speed? How did you have your camera set?

That last photo is a once-in-a-lifetime catch -- absolutely outstanding!

Oh no no, you guys misread my post, I said that pic is a "collage". I got two individual pictures of each cat and made a double exposure collage so you can see the differences, look closely at the noses in the collage. Yes, that would be a catch of a lifetime.

PIC #001 was taken on Jan. 13 at 7:08 pm. (Female ?)

PIC #002 was taken on Feb. 13 at 1:25 pm. (Male)

Very cool. I really like the differences between the sexes. Females are dainty (usually) in comparison to the bully looking males.

I agree Arthur, the males are so robust and muscular and especially with their thick Winter coat. Sometimes even pictures can't convey that properly though. The profile pics of the male as he enters the frame really shows his stature well. That's why I posted those profile pics of him. Whereas the angled pics of both cats distort their mass and actually elongate their bodies. Making them look rather long and thin and really, out of proportion. You would not think that the male in the two pics was of the same cat.

Boy, that fooled me -- even though you'd mentioned it was a collage. Serves me right for reading too rapidly. Nonetheless, it's a great comparison and two excellent photos.

Very cool collage -- great technique that tells a lot, as Arthur already noted.
