I won the camera trap lottery where I live. Mountain lions just minutes from my house in Loveland, Colorado. Millions of acres of public land that is rich with diverse wildlife populations. The alpine country is some of the best in the country.

Let me know if you'd be interested in attending a camera trap predator workshop at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch (http://www.sylvandale.com). I'd be honored to host an event in Colorado. I'd share the four factors I use to get mountain lion footage weekly without the use of any lures. We could have a camera trap competition, setting out cameras in Sulzer Gulch and checking them at the end of a long weekend. This would be an awesome chance to meet many of the Camtrappers on this forum. That would be a real honor for me and many others.

Interested? If so, I'd work with the ranch on a package deal. The best time to do this would be between Thanksgiving and March 1st. Sylvan Dale Guest ranch is about 1.5 hours from the Denver International Airport.

Just throwing the idea out. Here's some footage of the valley, full of lions, accessed from the ranch. I look forward to the feedback. As always, you can view this video at http://www.vimeo.com/offthepavement

Thanks,

David

Hello Casey,

If there is sufficient interest I'd like to create a long weekend that will maximize the benefits for everyone. I'm completely open on this. Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch is a great place to meet and Colorado is in the middle of the country. It would be such an honor to show everyone the places where I'm capturing all of this lion footage, swap tips and strategies, enjoy some dark beer and light conversation.

We can craft what it looks like together.

Thanks,

David

I would be there in a heartbeat if I didn't need to travel 14,000klm. to get there.

Buckhuntertrailcam, that would be a serious walkabout. Colorado is a great place to visit for people who enjoy the outdoors.

I would be interested in such an event for next year. I would have to get permission from my wife of course...

Arthur,

I'd be happy to send her monthly cards outlining just how healthy this will be for you and your marriage. We can start with my "Beats Lion Around At Home" card.

Arthur, that's awesome! She deserves a thank you card. Send me an email with your address and I'll send you
and your wife a card. I'll need her name. These marital harmony deposits are critical for the long term health of a camtrapper.

Thanks,

I was in Colorado and Wyoming hunting last year as most years in September. Too bad we couldn't have had a workshop then.
