I don't remember placing anything there but my pack and camera gear. Next time up I'll have my dog get up and have a sniff along the length of that log. It is a very active crossing so I'm curious to see how other passing wildlife react to this spot.

I did have this lone Elk stroll past but it showed no interest in that log.

Ain't camtrapping fun? That's a good find. You might have discovered something that happens regularly but no one knew about. Here, PG&E puts up little dirt covered bridges for the wildlife to cross canals, and the deer use them, but they are NOT as narrow as your log.

You know, I have never seen anything like this before. Which is why I had to ask all of you if you had seen anything like this through your experiences. I suppose that this could very well be a camtrappers first. Your right Chris, camtrapping is fun, there's so much that we can learn from this.
