Thanks Trev, I placed my cam on a fence post at about 3 ft. off the ground. I aimed it to the North and composed the video frame to exclude the fence but also catch a bit of the mountains in the background. The landowner removed the top horizontal fence rail to allow the Elk to go through. The cam is a Browning Recon Force Extreme Model # BTC-7FHD-PX (2017)

Here's a pic of another such opening where I placed an S600 cam.........


Well that's a bonus gift the farmer giving you the exact spot to put your camera on the fence.

You got that right. I'm getting lots of Elk action here and them pausing like this has been a real bonus.

Hi Bruce, good to hear from you again.
It looked like the bull singled out a cow and put the chase on her over the fence. Then the rest of the herd followed to keep together. I believe that the Elk prefer this particular area because of the lack of predators.
