I was working on a W100 build just to get some info in case some one asks about them, and decided to photograph the steps. Some of the newer folks look at this like a student looks at the first trig problem, so hopefully it helps.

The first thing I do is tape down some sort of template so I can drill some pilot holes.

Then I cut the counter bores for the flash and snorkel flange. I cut the flash a little deeper than the snorkel area. I'll explain why shortly.

You can see the flange on the snorkel sits pretty well flush with the case.

Then I cut the holes out leaving a nice flat to goop to. If you have some burs and such, just dremel them off.

Then I put the snorkel through as it should be and check to make sure the lens extends as it should. If not, you can dremel a bit of the opening and move it around a bit. You can see mine is a little more right than left after the adjustment.

Then I get ready to put in the glass or flash enhancer. I normally use a flash enhancer here because it helps with most W cams and it is a lot easier to cut to the curve of the snorkel than glass is. If you do try to grind, cut or chip you glass like the one I have in the photo, USE A FACE SHIELD!!!!
Goop around the ledge for the flash as shown. Then place the glass or enhancer in place and press it down to get out the bubbles and make a good seal.

Then I go around the flange with more goop. I try not to skimp anywhere except the spot on the snorkel where it overlaps the glass or flash enhancer. This is the part I said I would explain later about the bore being deeper on the flash hole than on the snorkel hole. I already had the glass glued into the snorkel as you might notice.

I hope this helps some one.

I've been getting questions about this, so I figured I would bump it up.
