Why did the L11 fire the flash twice?
The Nikon is mounted about a foot below the Olympus and took two photos while the Olympus was taking the video. The board controlling the Olympus is programmed to take day videos and night still photos and the board detected it was daylight. The Olympus won't use its flash while it's taking a video, and will take acceptable videos at light levels low enough for the Nikon (as well as all of my Sony and Fuji homebrews) to trigger the flash. A still photo taken without flash at that light level would be blurred by any movement.
