Yes, usually tossing in a set of alkaline batteries into the camera and letting it sit for a day or two will charge it back up. If not sometimes you have to change the cameras backboard. An internal battery swap can be tricky.
Thanks for the response. I had an S600 out for about three months and when I went to retrieve it I expected it to be dead and I tossed in some half charged rechargeables into it and couldn't get it to power up for more than few seconds. Once I got it home a few weeks later I did put some alkalines in it and it worked after a few days. Thanks again.
