Unfortunatley I only got 5 days worth of photos out of this trip cut short by a wonderful bout of leishmaniasis
Hope you enjoy !

Terrific shots -- and good luck with the treatment. A friend of mine got it in Panama -- showed up as a ulcer on his face, and it took the tropical med specialists at Walter Reed Army Med Center to diagnose it. This was in the 80s, and he had to go in 2x a week for drip/infusion therapy.

yeah unfortunatley I have already had treatment for it 21 days. I flew back after treatment to continue my work and unfortunatley it had evolved to mucotaneous Leishmaniasis so thats my work finished on the Las Piedras river for now unfortunatley. This centre ( LPAC ) Conservetheamazon.org is the perfect area for camera trapping and has so many incredible species including giant anteaters, jaguar, ocelot, puma, margay and many more !
If anyone is planning on visiting and would like any advice I would be more than willing to help as I have tonnes of camera trap data from this site and can recommend the best areas !
