Does anyone know if infrared lights from a nearby video camera trap will interfere with an active infrared trigger.

I am afraid if the lights are shining on my sensor it may not register that the beam has been broken.

Does anyone know if this can happen?

If the wavelength of the infrared flood light you are using is the same as the active trigger and the flood light is close and is aimed precisely at the active infrared trigger receiver, you may have a problem. I would say it probably won't be a problem. If you are worried about it, put a shade on the IR receiver to block the flood light.

If you have the time, or another set-up, try testing it. It shouldn't take much time.

Thanks! I had one set-up nearby the DSLR trap recently and I caught some animals I thought should have triggered the camera, but I guess they must have just missed the beam. Then I started to worry it might have been the IR lights from the video.
