This set is along a busy game trail on an Island in a river estuary of a rain forest. I suspected that this trail would be used more than the trails along the river's edge because of it being higher ground. So far it's proving to be very productive.

Good stuff Gary. I believe you have a Marten in the video? Why do you not get more marten pictures? There not many around? or you don’t set for them? To me they are the most interesting... like a mink.

I noticed the difference in the the reaction to the camera between the cougar and the wolf. That wolf was having none of it.

Those are pretty cool. Interesting that the marten shows up at night. Here in Minnesota, I have never once got a pic of a marten at night.

Great location to get that variety in a short period of time.

Very Nice Video, Very Interesting How the Different Animals Reacted to the Scratch Pile.

Thanks,
Marten are incidentals at my sets but are not that common in the rain forest. Far more common in the drier forests further down near where I live. I usually come across 1-2 of them a year while out on my hikes and during daylight hours. I have thought about making a Marten set one of these days and dang it, maybe now I will.

Good summary of a productive set. How long was the camera out there?

27 days Chris.

I went up there a few days ago with intentions of pulling all of my cameras. When I saw the Wolf and two Cougar activations I changed my mind. I drew one of the video cams back to take in more of the trail and installed another further down.

This is the biggest reason why I left the cameras in place.
