I've never found a great way to mount the clear filter to the case (that protects the lens), looks like you did a wonderful job!

Yeh it’s a step up ring filter adapter from 95mm to 105mm. I drill a 3-3/4” hole then goop the adapter into the hole. Then I add or screw in a 105mm lens filter. When an elk busts it I screw in a new one.
