Best Camera Batteries

Post by buckbrown »

I am asking those of you who have used the Sony S600 cameras in your camera builds. Which brand of
batteries work best in the Sony S600?

Thanks,
Ron

Are those rechargeable? The guy who hacked my camera said not to use rechargeable batteries in this system!

I use IKEA LADDA batteries … they are rechargeable. I have piles of homebrew cameras and that’s all I use is rechargeable. I use the AAA in the control board as in your pic and the AA in the camera and as externals. I also use eneloop pro as well. I use rechargeable batteries made in Japan … not China. The Amazon batteries were the best at one time but now they are made in China and not even close to what the ones were that were made in Japan. The batteries I use work in Saskatchewan Canada cold winters .. hope this helps. Daryl

I certainly agree with Ghosthunters… The IKEA batteries or any of the Japanese made rechargeables are the way to go

All of my 20+ homebrews (S600, S40, P32, L11 and VG140) and have always been run on rechargables and so have the boards. I use Energizer, Imedion, Tenergy and Amazon batteries which are (were) supposedly all made in the same factory in Japan. I've also had Tenergy and Amazon batteries made in China and can't see any difference -- so far.

The Chinese Amazon batteries have been ok but I have had lots of issues with the Tenergys. (AAs)I do use the Tenergy and EBL c-cells with no problems though
