Call me nuts but walking through Wallmarts garden center I seen this guy & just had to have it ! Paired with my caller playing great horned owl sounds with the volume turned up night hours only . You think it has a chance of landing & owl on that log ?? :tinkin

If the local hooter has any moxie at this stage of the breeding cycle, it will hit that decoy like a freight train.. (Hope its not tightly moored.)

All I can say is try running the flashes at real low power, maybe bumping up your ISO to compensate, if you wanna freeze an owl coming in hot. Hope it works.

I get them occasionally on wounded rabbit calls too...

Well the owl set never worked out at all like johnny said the camera was set too slow I thought the owl would land but that's not the case . I got several four shot bursts through the week all night shots with nothing but the decoy in the shots . I did not know how scared the other critters are of the owl I had no squirrel or coon or anything else come close all week . This set normally gets many squirrel etc. ? If I try this again I will use a always on flash & no AF should be able to capture whatever is triggering the cam . :what?
