Set for whatever it can get

Post by Woody Meristem »

Just made a set beneath a rock overhang hoping for bobcat, fisher, Allegheny woodrat, or ...

The upper side of the horizontal hemlock trunk is worn smooth from critters traveling on it and there was a recent scat that appears to be fisher, it contained some corn -- fishers do eat some nuts and fruit -- although the set is a long way from any cornfield (but maybe not from a hunter trying to bait deer or bear).

Camera is a P32 in a steel "bear box" (which was empty when the photo was taken) mounted on a concrete stake driven into the ground.
