Finally, after many attempts I have a decent image using the Camtraptions V3 sensor, Canon T3i and Nikon SB-28 flash units.
Location: backyard Walnut tree. The walnuts are starting to fall so the critters are making the rounds in the yard.
Three lights: Key, fill and back light The back light was angled too high which gave too much rim light to the tree bark. Will lower it next time.
Canon T3i
ISO 800
18mm-55mm lens
1/250 @ f/11
1- SB-28
2- SB-28DX
The set up shows the tree with the camera and two flash units. The backlight flash is hidden by the tree. As for the ropes on the trees? They secure my ham radio antennas to the crown of the tree. Next up, using Infrared with a modded T3i.
