Rising to Greystokes challenge to come up some other critters....how about some 'roos...for a change !
No shortage of these dudes down here and being summer they're hammering my coastal water point and enjoying my fresh rain water. I've had an S600 out in a 1020 case with a LCD Sniper board testing the camera for night focus after a mainbaord change....looks like I might have got it right with great sharp day & night focus from the new lens group...although it took 6 lens changes to get it right ! Another S600 saved from the depths of my parts box !
Here's some Aussie 'roos...Eastern Greys as a change from the usual hog & sambar deer. Cheers from Down Under

Willy....wild 'roos from my experience are very timid and will bolt at the slightest scent or sight of humans. They have been known to "have a go" when wounded or cornered and have ended the lives of many dogs by bailing in a dam or a hole in a creek and then drowning any dog that is silly enough to swim out and continue to torment it. Just self defence there I guess. I've seen a few 'roos in animal parks get a bit grumpy with tourists but mostly over trying to get food off them in pretty artificial situations....like most wild critters...beware of them if they are semi-tame or used to humans.
Burns80.....you're right....that's not a 'roo in that shot. It's a great big wombat. A short-legged stocky pouched, digging marsupial that is mostly nocturnal. Heaps of 'em about...built a bit like a wild pig...solid, but very short in the leg. Here's a better pic of one. Cheers
