Florida Black Bears
Video trap with Sony a6000. Central Florida
Mom and cub decide to come investigate the camera trap set up by balancing on the log. Unfortunately, it was the exact shot I was after however it was early morning in the forest and the glass lens on my housing was either fogged over or had dew on it, so it was not a nice, crisp video. In typical black bear fashion, the cub decided to rip a leg off of the tripod holding the motion sensor and mom took it upon herself to flip the camera upside down. But how can you get mad at these two!

This is a large video file to expect everybody to be able to download. It would be best to upload this to a video sharing service like YouTube, Vimeo, etc. and then post the link here. This would save space on the camtrapper server and save bandwidth from being downloaded many times.

I'll bet that you were excited to get this huh? very cool, congrats.
No such thing as hibernation down there I suppose, looks very tropical and much different than up here in the Pacific Northwest.

Yep, sure was excited. And yes, I was not sure what to expect in terms of activity of the bears thru the winter but they seem to be active throughout.

Good catch -- for you and the bears. I've been there many times, and its hard to outsmart them.
