The Hanging Jug, Part 1

[cameratrapcodger]

My computer crashed as I was working on this video, so I had to start from scratch on a new (Mac Mini) computer, which meant climbing a steep learning curve. I can't believe I lived with such a slow machine in that old fossil iMac I was using.

Anyway HERE is the first of two videos showing critters reacting to a "novel object" -- in this case a plastic jug hanging in the woods. The squirrels and false triggers to the swinging jug used a lot of memory, but I was pleased with what I got.

Another creative set with great resullts, especially Mr. ursus lasciva, well done Chris.

I've never documented an herbivore scent mark a carnivore's scent marking, however the same cannot be said about omnivores and carnivores, any idea why that is?

Interesting to see how the various animals react to the jug.

Neat video Chris, Love that bear playing at the end!

Thanks again guys. I have a video in the pipeline showing how the Bears reacted to the hanging jug. With the miserably hot weather we've been having, there is time to work on videos.
