I do the same but add one of these micro switches instead of the solder jumper, works on either side of the board, just don't push it all the way down, you don't want it touching the other components. with this switch I can still turn off the pir if ever need be for diagnosis.

I have done it to all my ss boards solder bridge...not the micro...love it this way
