I have been successfully using the PIR for two weeks. The system died, I took it home, charged the batteries.
Everything seems to be set the same, yet all the pictures are dark. I used to take pictures with 1/1/4, F7.1 settings, now I can't take a decent picture with any settings. The PIR is also set the same. I have help, he took pictures of how he sets it, yet all the pictures are dark. The flashes always fire. No matter how I set them, I get a dark picture. It's like the flashes fire before the camera exposes. I'm stuck, I can't move on. Please help me to take good pictures again. I'm quite frustrated that I've messed something up.
What I'm using:
Canon 80D, 700D
Transmitter, Receiver, cables are Camtraptions' own system. Transmitter 2, receiver 1 are on channel
Flashes: 2x Nikon SB28
Camtraptions V3

Hi how is your Setup to trigger the flash? From PIR or from Camera?

I think it's about the PIR. If I take it that even if the camera is not turned on, the flashes will flash when there is movement.

Then you will need to check the Channels. My setup looks like this. PIR -> 1st receiver (channel 1) - camera -> transmitter (channel 2) -> receiver (channel 2) -> flashes. And the camtraptions PIR can also wake up the flashes, but this has to be set. There are instructions for this in the manual. Here are some Setups https://www.camtraptions.com/setups/

Thank you very much for your help! I'm happy that the problem is solved! There was a bug. The flashes were set to 1. Now the flashes and the camera work fine at the same time, the pictures are good. I must have accidentally set the wrong channel when uploading. I can use it again.. I still have the marten in my area.
