I'm having an issue with one of my Nikon sb-28dx flashes where it starts firing continuously as soon as it is powered on. As far as I can tell the test flash button is not depressed and the contacts look relatively clean. Really hoping to salvage this flash so asking if anyone has any suggestions for resolving this issue?
I suspect others have had this issue but my searches through the archives haven't been successful.
Thanks,
Aaron

Any chance it got wet? Either directly or really high humidity?

Re: Nikon Sb-28dx issue: firing untriggered and continuously
It's possible, it had been out in the field previous to this issue flaring up. I noticed the issue when I was setting up a new set in the field, the issue hadn't presented when I checked over the gear before heading into the field. And now it fires any time I put in batteries and turn it on.
