Grandson's 1st TC Images

Post by 35whelen »

My almost-eight year old grandson has always been keen on my TC's and like most kids these days he's pretty savvy with tech stuff so I decided to build him a trail camera get him away from the TV and the Playstation for a while and see some real-critters....at least on his own trail camera anyway. I did a LN job on a black 1020 case and fitted it with a Simple Sniper board with a nice S40....no EP or anything at this stage...just kept it simple. Switch it on, shut the lid, lock it to the tree and wave it goodbye !

We went out in the boat 10 days ago to my hog deer hunting block, found a good game trail going to a waterhole and set the unit up nice and close and low down on the trail. We collected it today and had some nice pics of a few hog deer, some 'roos and a female swamp wallaby with a big joey in her pouch. Needles to say he's pretty keen to get it out again and see what else he can get. Another HB TC addict on the way by the look of it. Here's a few of the young fellas images.
Cheers from Down Under

It's good to see you getting him involved in the outdoors. Tell him he did a great job on the setup. The one with the baby in the pouch was neat!!!! :cheers

:10 Those are some of the best first images I've seen.

Kids spend way too much time these days on the DS, Wii, Playstation and in front of the TV. Unfortunately, when its the dead of Winter here I dare not bring my kids out in fear of frost bite. :brrr

They love to head out to the land with me between March through May, after May its Mosquitoes, Horse Flies, Deer Flies and Wood ticks. October, November and into early December are nice times too. Way to get your grandson involved, he's a lucky boy. :cheers

Great to see. Now get him posting on here. I would like to read some of his comments on the pics.
