trigger to wake up

Post by luca93 »

hello everyone, I wanted to ask besides the Camtraptions triggers, are there others who can wake up the flashes from standby to the first shot?

I have been using the Youngnuo RF603C II for Canon and RF603N II for Nikon. You can use a Canon transmitter and Nikon receivers. The only issue is they only last a few days on two AAA batteries so you might want to use external power of some sort. I built a power board that utilizes one 18650 rechargeable lithium ion battery. It gives me the ability to turn off the flash trigger during the day saving battery capacity.

is it possible to directly connect a 18650 battery without any card?

I have never tried it, when a 18650 is fully charged it will put out about 4.2 volts. The trigger runs on 3 volts. The trigger might tolerate it. But, then it might not. You can always make an external AA battery pack. Two AA cells in parallel will make it run for a few days. Do a series parallel pack for even longer.
