That Red dash is from one of the Sony 4 gig memory cards that I have, I have two of them that does that plus other weird stuff.

Here is a qoute of mine from Hags site, ( I hope this isn't against policy )

i have a w230 that giving me a reddish hue in the pics when i view them on the computer. Is this a main board or lens issue?

It could possibly be a memory card issue,
I've had some strange pictures from memory cards, ie: green/red/blue lines going horizontally across the picture, Only the top half of the picture would show, I even had some where the pictures were in half and then posted back together oposing each other,
an example would be a picture of a deer with the head and rump both in the middle of the picture, basically the left side of the picture switched with right side but down the middle not side to side. And it definetly is the memory cards both are 4 gig Sony's to be exact, These two cards always gives me wonky pictures, Approx 10 out of every 500 will be spoiled

I remember that post about the lines not that you mention it. Photobucket will auto size your uploads also, but it takes longer because you have to upload the entire photo size to be resized.
