W2XX pics!

Post by jjkscf »

I'm trying to get caught up with some of you guys and am thinking about my next build! seems like a lot of W220/230 and W290 builds have been done or are in the works can you guys post a few pics of unedited day and night shots from these with a rough distance to the subject for me! Seems like I'm always a camera or 2 behind and want to think about moving forward as it get's closer to fall!
Thanks in advance

If you really wanna show those advanced guys a thing or two, go hack some 330's and post up some pics for us. :pict

Joe, The newest camera that I have seen you hack is the W7. I would say you are 25 to 30 cameras behind. I suggest you jump over the heap and buy a 290 BEFORE I start posting pictures. I already have over a thousand pics from this camera. I have done all the other cameras, and this one tops them all. If you want a cheap camera, the 220's and 230's are getting ready to drop down in price.
Tony, I have already figure the hack out on the 330, but I am not paying new camera prices ever again. My 290 was $55 with free shipping. It came with a battery and did not have a scratch on it.
Basinboy, I remember you from Jesse's. Nice to see you here

I'm still wanting to see some pictures from the builds too. Please post them up Bob and others. :pleeze I think many would like to see examples of the image quality and flash strength before going ahead with a $150 or more build.

The "New Camera Research and Development" section of Jeremi's should give us a good catalyst to some other options as well. Great to see we're headed into the future! By the way Joe, it is VERY generous of you to donate the P41 and your hacking skills to build the fund up. Mucho Gracias! :Bow

Tonight, I will post some day pictures. I have been running the camera day only and working on it at night. Last night, I finished the external microphone, so the camera is out for good now. I will get the first night pictures tonight. I moved the camera to the bear tree this morning. It is set on ISO 200 ( 25% flash). Tomorrow, I will switch it to ISO 80 it does not have 100). The next day I will move it to ISO 400 and then to full auto where it will use ISO 800. In a few days, I will set to get the 720p HD video clips with sound.
I took donuts to the bear tree yesterday with no camera, and they were gone this morning.
the bear tree is only 200 yards from the house, and I will be checking the camera twice each day. You will get tires of seeing 290 pics soon.
