Very nice pictures Scott, and it is good to see you back posting. It is not easy to sex and size a cat from a couple of pictures. If that cat is a tom, it does not look like a large tom. These cats get pretty big out west. The cat in your picture has a slender tail and neck. The larger toms have longer and heavier tails. This is a picture that I got with a P32 5 1/2 years ago. My slave flash almost ruined these pictures. The cat is feeding on a whitetail doe. Compare its feet and legs with the deer's legs and hooves. Also compare the tail, head, shoulders and neck with your cat. I think your cat might be a large female or a smaller tomcat. Great pictures, hope you get more.

Scott, I saw something that I missed the first time I looked at your pictures. There is a brown spot near the base of the tail in the picture where the cat is walking away from the camera. A female has a brown spot between the base of the tail and the female sex organ. A tomcat does not have this spot. I have seen this on treed cats many times. A friend of mine that has run cats for 35 years told me about this spot. I am pretty sure this cat is a large female.

WOW! Nice catch... I would love to get one of those on camera, although I might feel a bit eerie next time I put cameras up in that spot...

I'll stick to the cat being a Tom, But yes a smaller Tom
I believe the brown spot your reffering to are his testicles, The pictures from what I see show a small sack/bag/bulge.
But yes your also right on the Jane Cats. There is that brown spot your reffering too this brown spot is caused from what I believe to be when the female urinates the urine stains the hair
